Mr Maksymiw's news w/c 30th October 2017
You may have noticed that our Key Stage 2 library area in the middle of school looks like it needs some attention. You would be right! The reason it looks a bit untidy is because we planning to move this library down to the Orchard, where the old IT suite used to be. The library team have drawn up plans to create a new and exciting reading space with lots of new books for the children to choose from. In the next few weeks the books from the existing library will disappear and be added to the new books we have bought. There are two things that you can do to help this process. Firstly, could you have a look around your house to see if there are any books with an Outwoods Edge label inside. We would be most grateful if you could return them. Secondly, if you would like to help with the cataloguing of books and organisation of the library then we would like to hear from you. Please pop into reception and pass on your name. Thank you.

Mr Maksymiw's news w/c 23rd October
Welcome back to school after the half term break. I hope that you had a good week and that the children have ‘recharged their batteries’ ready for the new start.
I wanted the thank everyone who made a Harvest donation of fruit, vegetables, packets or tins. The food went to Rainbows Children’s Hospice and The Carpenters Arms where it was gratefully received. We also enjoyed our Scarecrow Walk and it was lovely to see so many parents join us. The children had a good time and had the opportunity to explore the area round school. We had some tired children when they returned from the walk.
We are now looking forward to a new half term. Some children are starting new topics whereas others are preparing for their residential visits. You will have a chance to see their work so far at Parents Evening this week

Mr Maksymiw's news w/c 9th October
You should have received a letter on Friday telling you about our first parents evening of the year which will take place straight after half term. There is an online booking form for you to complete and the letter explains how to access the site and book an appointment that is convenient for you. If you have any queries or problems then please contact the school office and the staff will be happy to help you. Parents evenings are an important occasion both for you and for the teacher. It is an ideal opportunity to review how your child is getting on and how you might be able to help him/ her at home to make good progress this year.
I am also inviting you to fill in a short questionnaire at parents evening about a number of different issues including the way we collect money for trips. Please take a few minutes to fill it in. It will be really useful for me to know you views.
